Va is a modern Italian fusion cafe that is a relatively new lunch spot in town. They serve up delicious sandwiches and java beverages on Jasper Avenue west of downtown. The staff were very professional and helpful. It would be just lovely if they could also be a bit more cheerful and friendly. Lol. This is day service so it should be a bit more relaxed. Food and drinks were spectacular. And the space is very cute and modern. It's extended from the ultra hip bar Mimi next door. 5 x

Va is a fantastic café. The food, coffee, atmosphere, and staff are all amazing. We tried the mortadella panini, truffle pizza, and latte, and everything was excellent.

We had a delicious assortment of sandwiches and desserts at this place. The staff was all very kind and were happy to bring us our order in two servings so it would be easier to share. The aesthetic they have going throughout the kitchen and bathroom is also very nice. I would definitely recommend the chocolate cookie.

I used to live right next to Va, and omg, I spent way too much money here! Such amazing food, wonderful staff, and a beautiful atmosphere inside. The Mortadella is to die for!! My only complaint is that they changed their bread, and I much preferred the previous bread. Added more overall to the flavor of the sandwiches.

V,A—or “vah” . . . however you want to say it—is the final piece for me in the reviewing trifecta of goodness and coolness that DeCosta has brought to this neighbourhood. I half-expected an overpriced café, but NO—this place delivers. Breakfast, lunch, and everything in between, and the quality is right up there with the other two spots. We had the potato pizza (really, really good) and a cheese-and-greens and egg brekkie sammitch combo on a brioche-style bun that totally hit the mark. Add in coffee and juice, and we were on our way. Another solid addition from DeCosta— clearly shows why he leads in the hospitality space in Edmonton.

Seen this place many times on social media, and always wanted to try it. The panini were delicious and I loved the bread that came with it. Friendly staff. There are not that many sitting area, so maybe hard to get a seat when it gets busy. I think they should put some patio seating outside. Otherwise highly Recommended.

Va is a vibrant Roman-inspired café that nails casual Euro-chic charm on Jasper Avenue. Their pizza al taglio—from the earthy Potato & Pancetta with a bright touch of lemon to the creamy Rosso & Burrata—is excellent, with just the right amount of char on a crisp crust. The café feels fresh yet nostalgic, flooded with retro details—from green-and-white tiles to stacks of Italian cookbooks and vinyl records. The espresso and Italian sodas are spot on, and even when busy, the vibe stays welcoming and trendy. Whether it’s for a quick bite or a stylish lunch, Va delivers in flavor and flair.
